"News Flash"

Assalaamu Alaikum,
Kudos to those who set up this blog.

Nawab Bari Bloggers, I am joining this blog in hopes to have some serious discussions that require critical thought. It's great to congratulate those who have wed or had babies, but why is it that Nawabarians are always preoccupied with matrimony and indulgence in glorifying ourselves?

Is anyone interested in discussing issues such as the potential ramifications for Bangladeshis abroad as a result of Iran's decision to enrich uranium and donate $50 million to the Palestinian Authority? Or how members of the Bangladeshi government feel about India’s bid for a permanent seat in the United Nations Security Council?

Or, simply, how can we, Nawabarians, support the education of our women? How can we support each other to contribute to society instead of constantly contributing to gossip?

Our ancestors did so much to shape the world...are we up to the challenge to carry on their tradition?

Welcome to this blog and thanks for praising our hardwork. Also thanks for your valuable suggestion and comments.

It is also good to know that you are joining this blog to have some serious discussion. We had initiated some seriuos and interesting discussions earlier, please refer to the archive files from January through March folders. You can contribute your views by adding more on either of those topics. From time to time the website will float more ideas as we did in the past. You are most welcome as any other visitor to initiate your own conversation.

This website does not have a separate section for impromptu family news and for using the blog for that purpose. In a way this blog is serving dual purposes-- family news and family related discussions.

This news section has been praised by many and unifying the family which has scattered all over the world. I would call this blog “a virtual global Nawabbari”.

As you have noticed this is a family website. It is obvious that family news will get primary focus here. Discussion topics related to the family will be a dominating factor. Being a student of Dhaka University I am personally politically concious and a bit too much into politics. As a matter of fact political discussions are my forte, be it local or international.

I believe this is a good, however not the best available platform for discussing international politics. That kind of discussion will deviate us from our original purpose.

I am sure there are many other blogs solely dedicated to politics and international relations enriched by subject matter experts.

Again we dream that this will be a self sustaining website. The topic and nature of discussion will be decided by users like you. Please do keep posting here.

By the way you forgot to sign your name.

Walaikum Salam,
Dude this is a "gupshup" den where we folks love to sit back, chew a chill pill and mellow in , after a long stressful day at work! You sound way too uptight for any light-hearted discussions and definitely in some serious need of an attitude adjustment!
Hahaha..(I must be really bored to be at this blog!)but then you know gossip has been a way of life with us nawab barians ever since time in memorial. And if am not wrong, from our cradles to our graves..we shall keep indulging in glorifying "ourselves".
