How much do we contribute for Begum Bazar graveyard where our loved ones are sleeping?
The family graveyard is running out of space.
Is it right time to say no more “PAKKA KABAR”?
Or should we start planning to buy a new land for burial ground?

I think we should halt cementing the graves simply becuase 1. There are no room 2. somewhat un-islamic ( although I dont know much and dont want a World war III on the gup shup ...igniting some sensetive issue).3. Lands are very costly to buy in Dhaka, unless we dont mind diggin grave in Sandip Island 4. Not that many NBs can afford buying land for burial 5. We all have to die one day & why pay for somthing when i am dead :-)
Good informative post. What about nawabbari.com doing a fundraising party?
I can pledge $500.00 for Kabarstan.

WASEEM ARZOO WRITES.....
Quite disappointing to see comments posted by anonymous. This is not an issue one should make fun about. But to pay a serious thought and help finding a way out. Begum Bazar graveyard is almost full. We need to buy a piece of land where we could burry our loved ones and who knows we are next! I agree buying land in Dhaka is ofcourse expensive. How about across the river (USPAR) and little inside where I guess lands are still at an affordable price and communication is no problem as we have over bridge next door. I suugest this website should run a fun raising capmaign and find solution to it. Best regards
Anas,
Thank you for your kind words.
I would like you to educate me on the:-
(1) If Begum Bazar graveyard's maintainence responsibility rest with the ABDULLA WELFARE TRUST? If not, who is responsible for it?
(2) My pledged funds for Begum Bazar kabarstan is already in Bangladesh with one of my sister who is now in Chittagong.
(3)I can call her with instruction to handover the funds to Mr. Halim. However, I was thinking about "FUNDRAISING" possibility by this site or others matching my contribution.
Kindly investigate and reply,
Respectfully,
Iftekhar Hassan
