Where is Nawab Sir Salimullah's history?

If we see our past, we can predict our future. People of Dhaka, in this modern world, has forgotten the legend of Nawab Sir Salimullah. they don't know who was he. It's a shame for us and the rest of the people living in this country. I think medias should take initiative in order to focus the life of this great legend. we see our neighbouring country, India, making films of their legend. why shouldn't we? we now have certain amount of modern technology by which atleast we can capture some parts of the life style, cultures, traditions etc were in Dhaka Nawab Family. so that people should know how things were in the past of their own country and realising the facts and contributions of Nawab Salimullah..

What do u say?

Khwaja Ali Madani.

Most people in Bangladesh know about Nawab Salimullah's contribution.

The left-winger's in BD have apparently been effective in keeping out the Nawab family's contribution out of the history books.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website in Pakistan mentions Nawab Salimullah's contribution:

http://www.mofa.gov.pk/Pages/History.htm

Whereas Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website in Bangladesh does not mention DNF or Nawab Salimullah, as if neither ever existed:

http://www.mofa.gov.bd/early_history.htm

WOW! one anonymous said,

"The left-winger's in BD have apparently been effective in keeping out the Nawab family's contribution out of the history books."

But the question is what DNF members did to organize an effective rebuttal by means of public relation campainge in favor of Nawab Salimullah within print and electronic media regarding true contribution.

I think the main problem is we nawabbarians are going through identity crisis. We are mostly in Bangladesh but we tend to be more Pakistani mentally. Calling others Bangal and looking down on bengalis was very common and may b still is in close circles.

This is not a problem created by the Nawabbarians.Rather they are victim of government policy.
Post liberation historians deliberately ommited or understated the contributions of the Nawab family.
You can ask why did they restore Ahsan Manzil? They did this only when there was economic oppurtunity.
I mean making crores of taka through Municipal Market on Ahsan Manzil premises.
