Selling Talab?

There is a rumor that a group of people are very active looking for a suitable buyer of talab.
Do you support the idea of selling the Talab in Nawababri?
The nawabbarian's living outside Nawababri or living abroad probably might not care.
Some are just interested on netting cash.
Does anyone care about ecological consequence?
Isn't B association and MAW trust has to agree on this first?

hi again,
to reply about the rumor that's been spreading about the selling of the Talab, i disagree with that. i don't know how much my opinion will matter. Nawab Bari and Talab Kenar, i can't think of one without the other. it's meant to be there. if the Talab is sold, then it's like widowing Nawab Bari. everyone from Nawab Bari grew up mainly with the memories of Talab Kenar. in every discussion, Talab Kenar has to be mentioned atleast once. selling the Talab would be basically like losing a precious family member. we can't be that cruel to our family by disowning it just like that. no offence to anyone and sorry if i'm being rude, but whoever thought of the idea is very heartless. Sadaf Chachi's younger son, Sayyab, said that he wouldn't want to go to Nawab Bari if there's no Talab there. if a young child like him is upset with this decision, then imagine how much it actually means to us. i've lived in Dhaka for 4 years (as a child), and whenever i would talk to my relatives back home, the first thing i would always ask about is how does the Talab look now. even 1 year ago when i went, i took a deep breathe after seeing the Talab. it felt like i'm back home. sorry for the long comment, but i definitely disagree to it. i hope we can all stick together to save our Talab Kenar....

Selling talab is not a rumor, its fact! The players are almost the same bunch "here, a short history is repeating itself under your very own eyes" WOW! remember the MAKTAB DEAL? than, welcome to another awful and discusting venture and welcome for another round of final LOOT-MAL by a select few Motashahon-Keh-Auladoan some of them still reside around talab kenar and a few pennyless from so-called Paribag gang or nainsharers into this venture of selling talab.

The group who are trying to sell talab "for sometimes now" are all wearing same topi, some up front and some behind, who sold "MAKTAB" with the help from "now grave bound" english looking Kothi-Ka-Mia "AKA" Banladeshi Military-Ka-Purana chamcha and LOOT-MAL artist and his money loving sister! Talking about a greedy women?! yahooooooooooooo!

Well, here are the facts of the players and their existing plans and their past deeds.

This notorious group shall start their dirty work by collecting signatures from the family members. Lure them into signing a paper by telling, each family member, that they will recieve about one crore TAKA each, if talab is sold and develop into a giant business complex. They will promise the whole world to the family members for signature. "We will built this and that like, library, school, community center, swimming pool and a rose garden on top, where Kashmiri chai with dhabis malai shall flow endlessly and obviously Cooli Cha Biscuit and all for free too! oops did I foret "free Kubuli"?

What a return of the old nawabi glory. I see another MAHA-KOBI type venture with the help from 40 and 50 year old baby MUTASHAS with less than 4th grade education.

At the end this LOOT-MAL party will split the money amongs themself and the promised glittering building will be nothing but hundreds of 12x16 foot shop and an ugly huge brick structure for the Vikrampurians. This will be the final death of Khoti and or talab kenar.

Lets pray the dua "Allah-Wahed" to Talab now as I know that greedy old women has already recited the same dua long time ago about talab and her daughter is now carrying the MOSHAL of dear old mummy as her hubby been unemployed for only 35 years now.

Wow...Money...Money...Money !

Note: This is a good site and I humbly suggest that information must flow, reardless of how rankling that may be. Because, discussion foster independent thinking!

Don't snatch the childhood memories from us. That is the only place I truely feel where I belong. I've passed on the stories to my children and they too love being a part of the place. The reading of "sehri" during ramazan; singing "mehendi mere lala range maharaj" at someone's mehendi and parading around the talab in a typical Nawabbarian way; the boat race in this very talab, and the very sweet memories of my "nana and nano ka ghar." Thoughts of those precious times are priceless. How can one set a "price" for this "heaven?" "Humari yaadon se mat kheliye, yeh chaman juri hai apni bachpan se, iseh humse mat chiniyeh"
